Bryce Irlbeck, a fifth-generation farmer and co-founder of AgriSecure, an organic advisory service that helps growers profit from large-scale organic crop production, will be speaking at the 2019 Annual Iowa Organic Conference this month.

Irlbeck will present “Making the Transition: Tips from a Company and Personal Perspective” in the first breakout session on Monday, Nov. 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ballroom of Iowa Memorial Union in Iowa City. Megan Wallendal of Wallendal Farms in Wisconsin will also be presenting during the session on making the transition with grain crops and alternative crops.

The Iowa Organic Conference is a joint effort between Iowa State University and the University of Iowa that will allow farmers and experts to share tips on how to successfully transition into organic production, and provide methods to enhance organic operations. This year’s theme is “Diversity = Stability: Elements of Diversity in Optimizing Organic Profitability.” In addition to organic transition, the two-day conference will cover the profitability of organics, marketing alternative crops, organic grain weed crop management and several other aspects of organic production.

The conference begins at 3 p.m. Central Time on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2019. For full details about the event and to register, visit the 2019 Iowa Organic Conference website. For more information about Irlbeck and AgriSecure, visit www.AgriSecure.com.
