Fremont Tribune Report Colin Larson covers how AgriSecure’s partnership with Farmer’s Business Network (FBN) is “trying to give the power back to the farmer.” It is part of an important shift occurring in modern U.S. agriculture.
He initially states, “Research released by the Organic Trade Association in 2017 showed that sales of organic food and goods crested at $47 billion in 2016, an increase of more than 8 percent over the previous year. Organic food now boasts more than 5 percent of the nation’s total food sales.”
AgriSecure formed by farmers with experience.
Larson quotes AgriSecure CEO J.P. Rhea who stated, “AgriSecure is a new company that we formed with some colleagues, all fifth-generation farmers, and we have put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into getting converted to organic.”
Platform offers Complete Service
To help growers succeed, AgriSecure offers end-to-end management of organic acres, including organic certification support, whole farm and field-level management, agronomic advice, proprietary data platform access, and marketing access.
